Ma WD is called..

Firstly, I must admit that I am very well known among my mates for my excellent name choices for the characters I play in all games. Let the names be unknown for now, but thereby, this time I am going to have an epic background supporting my name for the cruel Witch Doctor!

Let’s begin with the little knowledge that Abd al-Hazir has brought to us by investigating the Torajan Jungles that cover the southern tip of the great eastern continent, in which Teganze is located, the place where Witch Doctors come from.

This area is extremely secluded, and heretofore unseen by foreign eyes. I was fortunate to befriend the witch doctor I saw in battle, and, through him, his tribe: the Tribe of the Five Hills.- Abd al-Hazir

The race of the tribes living in the Torajan Jungles is Umbaru and their culture is faschinating:

“The Tribe of the Five Hills frequently engages in tribal warfare with other clans, but these are matters of ritual and not of conquest. Victories may replenish their supply of raw materials for the human sacrifices that their civilization revolves around.- Abd al-Hazir

“Upon further discussions with my hosts, I discovered that these tribes define themselves by their belief in the Mbwiru Eikura, which roughly translates to "The Unformed Land". This belief holds that the true, sacred reality is veiled behind the physical one we normally experience. Their vitally important public ceremonies are centered upon sacrifices to the life force that flows from their gods, who inhabit the Unformed Land, into this lesser physical realm. - Abd al-Hazir

“The witch doctors are finely attuned to this Unformed Land and are able to train their minds to perceive this reality through a combination of rituals and the use of selected roots and herbs found in the jungles. They call the state in which they interact with this other world the Ghost Trance.- Abd al-Hazir

“Alongside the primacy of the belief in the life force and the Unformed Land, the second most sacred belief of the tribes is their philosophy of self-sacrifice and non-individuality, of suppressing one's self-interest for the good of the tribe. - Abd al-Hazir

All the bolded pieces from the Abd al-Hazir’s investigations portray my Witch Doctor and thereby, after half an hour of thinking the new name of my Witch Doctor will be Bmlarq, which is related heavily for the “Mbwiru Eikura” that seems to be the language of the tribe. Also the two letters in beginning (Bm-) relate to beast master since I am going for a minion handler, aka summoner spezialisation. The last 4 letters refer to “large arge”, aka large rage. Letter L for large, arq for rage.

Anless Out.

MF Summoner

I was thinking about creating a Witch Doctor
MOAR DOTS AND MINIONS!!

Shortly after the decicion, reading through some forums I found an interesting article about WD MF (Magic Finder) Summoner.
The idea is to wear as much as possible MF stat in your gear and equip a powerful melee weapon, with high physical weapon damage. The build is called Summoner-build because of it's boost for your minions. Your minions' damage (for today's knowledge) is depending only on the weapon damage, so Witch Doctor itself is able to wear full MF gear and still be sufficient damage through minions and it's own spells.

Here is a possible build to be used:

Witch Doctor Summoner Build

  1. Grasp of the dead - gropping eals dmg increases (a lot) with better weapons. Emenies will stay on their spot anyway, fighting minions.
  2. Sacrifice - next of kin supply us with new ammunition. Sacrifice not having any cooldown allow us to spam explosions with a little luck (especialy when Big bad voodoo is used, see below)
  3. Zombie dogs - leeching beasts to keep us alive. A good balance between leech tanking (along with thorns dmg from items, see passive skills) and exploding needed.
  4. Gargantuan - restless giant to keep bosses busy, our main tank
  5. Fetish army - fetish ambush for that extra spike damage when needed. After thinking it over i decided its better than additional fetishes or reduced cooldown. If every fetish does that 250% spike damage it will probably do more than another 3 fetishes by their normal attacks during all their life time
  6. Big bad voodoo - always used along with fetish army in order to maximize damage. Boogie man allows us to continuously spam sacrifice

Passives:

  1. Jungle fortitude - a must have for any summoner build, we don't want our pets do die in one hit right?
  2. Zombie handles - another a must have skill for pure summoner
  3. Fierce loyalty - this was hard choice, but i think it wins over Tribal rites or Circle of life.

Stacking gear with thorns, replenish life and MF is going to be priority. Its nice to have some higher goal than just MF.

Now that I have my class more or less decided, I'm off to think about the Character's name and professions. Untill then, Anless out.
